How it all started...
Epiphany started out as Elm St Methodist Episcopal Church, one of the first churches in So Portland, Maine in 1898. The chapel on Elm St was dedicated in 1904 and continued a thriving ministry for over 100 years. As the world changed, so did Elm St. In 2014 we sold the church building on Elm St, choosing to focus on our ministry of feeding people. A number of people from the Good Shepherd UMC in Gray, ME became part of Epiphany after they voted to close their beloved church in 2020. In 2021, we decided to become a virtual church with a combination of weekly in person meetings, a weekly online book study, prayer meeting and pop-up Sunday worship services. We hope you will join us as we continue our journey serving God and living in community with our neighbors.
